New Hope

I was sitting here yesterday watching my kids out of my Scraproom window play in the back yard having so much fun. The weather was perfect and I can see my tulips coming up and I just felt so rejuvenated. I can hear my kids laughing and giggling and in that moment I thought boy there is no sweeter sound.

I luv Spring and what it brings. I can feel hope in the air. Hope for all that a Summer promises. I know for my kids it sure means that. They have all ready started making plans and lists of where they want to go and what they want to do this Summer. Great America, Children's Museum, Science Museum, ZOO, Parks and of course ZAO Island where they luv to play minature golf and ride the go-carts here in our area. So I made this layout of the Dragon on the course. Sorta a promise and Hope of what is yet to come for our Family.
Ever had this happen to you? You wake up in the middle of the nite with ideas of sketches that would make wonderful layouts, cards and projects. By the time the morning comes you have forgotten what it was. So I started keeping a journal next to my bed that I can quickly draw it out or write down that break thru idea :' ) Than I can fall back into that deep slumber.
Well normally I would take that sketch work on it and than pitch it. I had an Epiphany the other nite. Why am i pitching them and how could they be used ? So I decided I will start loading them up here on my Blog with my created project. Now I must tell you that sometimes when I start with a sketch my ending project may end up loOking nothing like what I sketched. I sorta just use them as a Catalyst to create.
I am going to load them from time to time here and you are more than welcome to use them. If you use it and would like to share with my readers and me what you created that would be AWESOME !

Here is my first card sketch and the card I created using the sketch:

O.k. I loved the colors on the card so much I was inspired to keep working with them in this layout "Silly Boy". I used Jenni Bowlins new PP and decided to give these AC Thickers that everyone has been raving about a try.

On this layout I thought I would give the Paper Piecing technique a try. I have been seeing these great layouts by so many talented artist and thought Hummm that looks fantastic. However I guees it is not as easy as it looks but in the end I was sorta happy with my results.
Thank you for visiting and Have A Blessed Day,
