New Work Space and Magistical Memories and an Early Publication Surprise

It started out with a simple conversation one morning. Damien says...."Boy you are running out of space in this room" . So right there and than we decide to make a Lowes and Sherwin Williams run for paint and trim. 42 boxes later I have a new room in the basement. Its great and I'm loving it. Our basement has a kitchen, bedroom, living room and soon a bathroom so its like I have my very own studio space. Here is a peek at what Ive done so far.

I'm planning on replacing the center table with a stand up butchers Island so I can stand and scrap on. As well as hopefully making another IKEA run for more organization.

A few weeks ago I received a wonderful email from Magistical Memories telling me that I had made it to the 2nd round on their Chipboard Artist DT contest. I was asked to make 3 projects with the very generous supply of chipboard they sent me. Here is what I made: Now I gotta tell you this mini album here is a Prima clear album. I had one of those great moments where I made a royal mistake and I was torn between laughing at the moment or crying. I choose to laugh ....when I was finishing it up I realized I had stuck on my pattern paper a bit crooked. So I lifted it up a bit to fix it and what I thought was chipboard lifted right off the page. I realized that I was covering up a clear album and not a chipboard album. It felt and looked just like a chipboard album. Normally I'm use to the blue peel off but this one had a thick white covering. So to fix it I decided to peel the inner pages and to super glue the front cover. Im really happy with the way it turned out but boy was I freaked out. The Prima album istself is a fantastic album now that I know its a clear album and I soooo luv the Pink Paislee Sweet Cakes line I used.
YaY I was also pleased to receive my copy of my published work for Digital Scrapbooking by Scrapbook Trends. I wasn't expecting it to be ready for publication till after January so I was so pleased when it came! WoooHooooo
Well I'll end this post with some client photography work I've done recently. Here is a Wedding and a Mexican styled Sweet 15.

  2. Gorgeous room Norma! Mine is the basement too....and I do share it with the kidlets...but that gives me more time in my craftroom since their toys and computer and a library are on the other half...so the rest is all blissfully MINE!

You'll have to show us your organizational ideas after your run to IKEA....I love organizing almost as much as I love creating! LOL!
