Scars Of The Past

Yesterday was a wonderful day. I got to spend it with my favorite friend Suz- Shopping in Chicago. What a beautiful day ! I know we won't be having to many of these days left.

We went because there is a family who is going thru a similar house fire right now and I wanted to do something for their kids. I know that picking up items is not much but I just don't want them to feel that no one cares. It devastating to lose everything you have. To not be in the one place that is suppose to make you feel safest in this world. Even with so much support of family and friends I remember feeling so lonely. I truly believe to understand in this case you have to have experienced this to understand all of the emotions that some one goes thru .

While anyways- then when I got home I was surprised by finding Damien doing all kinds of work to our home. He is determined to still Paint the exterior before it gets tooo cold. He took down 10 sets of Shutters and only found 6 hornets nest. hehehe- I am so terrified of these little buggers and even more so for Damien he just happens to be allergic to them. Some how he always finds a way to come in contact with them. Like the time he was attacked by underground nest while he was jogging at the beach. That was an emergency room visit that was not pretty !!!!!!!!!!!

After I helped him a little with the shutters I snuck in to try another hand at another Digital Layout. I really had fun with this one. Mercedes- the one who truly holds my Heart! She is just getting so big, smart and absolutely beautiful. It made me sad when she asked me if I could get rid of her scars in Elements. We sat down and had the talk how her scars are a part of her. I still think it will take time for her to see her beauty thru them. I pray every day for that she doesn't allow her self to wallow in her past. God has a reason for everything I tell her even for having placed her in that accident any ways we all have scars even if you cannot see them. Time wont ever take them away but I pray that with time she won't see them any more.
