Sewing Project, Pictures and more....

I haven't purchased a Scrappy Magazine in quite a while. I got a chance to look thru the CK 101 Hip, Handmade Gifts while in the check out line at JoAnns and decided to purchase it. It really is a stunning magazine and it even encouraged me to make a handmade gift for a friends Baby Shower. My family keeps asking what animal is it and to be honest I am not really sure. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I made it out of a grayish velvet and some yellow cotton I had on hand and used MME Tres Bien "Summer Turquoise" buttons for the eyes. The only thing I wish I would have done different was embroider the baby's name and a heart on its chest but that was an after thought. Who knows maybe if I have time I will make some matching bibs and embroider on the bibs.

Here are a few recent pictures of Isabella. She is getting so big and has been learning to crawl. She has started to mouth Dada when we do it but no sounds comes out yet. I am sure it won't be long before so is gabbing away. The boys crack me up because they get so excited with everything new she learn and does.

Well between planning a Baby Shower and just everything else. I have only had a little time to do a few things and here are the most recent. I had a lot of fun creating this whimsical clock. I used the Fancy Pants BigBoard chipboard for the 3d effect on the tree and owl wings. The tree leaves are actually the clouds but I figured I could pull it off as leaves. The cards are very simple but I used some older PP on the inside and the Beauty layout is part of a Sripture Challenge I am doing at CMK. With CHA around the corner I am trying to use up some of my older stash so don't be surprised to see some projects where you go aaahhhhh I remember that PP from years ago :' )
