Contest Inspiration a Toot and more !

Yikes we had a tornado come through town last night. That was rough with the kids cuz my husband gone for the night. SPOOKY.... we spent the night in the basement with candles.... not a lot of FUN ! However we are o.k. and nothing happened to our house but my Mom & MIL were not as lucky with several trees down on top of their houses. So Damien is out there today trying to help them out as best as possible.

Well on to more up lifting talk. I received an e-mail from Brandin at Websters Pages and I got another project spotlighted as their banner. Than to really make my day Terri H e-mailed me and asked if I would be their Guest Designer for October. How COOL is that ?!!!!!

If you are not familiar with their paper I must insist you try working with it. The designer behind Websters Pages is Teri Conrad who is an amazingly talented designer and just a gem of a lady as well...... so go visit her here at Teri Conrad Designs for major inspiration !

Here is what I got done this week using Websters Pages:
I also got some work done for Embellish It Scrappbooking. If your looking for some wonderful challenges and some great inspiration this is the place to go to. Every week there will be different challenges in the forum. This week is a button challenge headed up by Julie who is one of the fab designers there. Next week the challenge will be headed up by Daniela. Here are a few designs I created for them. The others you can see here in the gallery. Now remember we are also having a wonderful contest at Cut Card Stock.com. It is posted with Pubcalls . I hope you guys will enjoy the sketches and really it is open to your interpretation of it. Cards and or layouts are eligible entries. You are more than welcome to use other products but the highlight should be on cardstock. We also ask that you submit no more than two entries. We are super excited to see how creative and what you come up with using cardstock !
Here are some projects I created using inspiration from the sketches and our products:
I used the sketch above on this altered clipboard. I also used the Star Dream Metallics Onyx & Mars. For the scalloped circle I used Curious Iridescent Cryogen White. It really is soooo hard to capture just how pretty this cardstock is. They glimmer and really add such beauty to any project ! Also using the sketch above I created this card using the Star Dream Mettallic Copper. Whats wonderful is that most of these colors can be ordered pre-folded as this one was so your ready to create and work quickly. I also used for the strip Curious Metallic Ionised & for the scalloped Circle I used Curious Metallic Anodised. These colors are just stunning. Can you imagine them used for Wedding Invitations ? !Of course I could not get enough of these GORGEOUS metallic I just had to make a layout using the other sketch. What I used for this layout is some more of these YUMMY Star Dream Metallic Sapphire & for the rose I used the Star Dream Metallic Mars. Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for a tutorial on how to make this beautiful cardstock rosette on the www.cutcardstock.blogspot.com site. If you get a chance visit me here at the www.cutcardstock.blogspot.com site and tell me what you think about these projects and our products. Is there something special your looking for or even if you just want to show me some of your work. Look forward to seeing you over there !OK lets see what else... oh yes I got together my layout done for the Random Chaos challenge site. I am so loving these challenges. It gets me to really thinking out of my box and norm. Here is what I created for #26: Wow. OK I know this was a lot and I'm sitting here with the feeling I forgot something. I guess that's whats so great about the edit button :' ) Well I can't THANK YOU enough for all the support and kind words you guys send my way. I can't tell you enough what it means to me to hear from you guys. Well lots of luv being sent your way and have a Blessed Day, Norma Kennedy
